Ella Woods - Osteopath & Radial Pressure Wave therapist
OCNZ & ACC registered
Why did I become an Osteopath? Well, firstly I grew up as one of those kids who had a different sport every day whether it was training or a game (sorry Mum and Dad) ..until I struck injury after injury! These injuries are what sparked my interest in the intricacies of the human body!
In my teenage years I was that girl who always had a headache and occasional migraines. After trying every remedy, medication, and treatment under the sun, I decided to give Osteopathy a shot.. And wow! This Osteopath listened - something that I had been desperate for. The results I got from a few treatments with this Osteopath were completely life changing - the experience that led me to my interest in the wonderful world of Osteopathy and here I am!
In the midst of my studies I experienced a severe glandular fever infection which completely changed my life for around three years. After years of struggling to do day-to-day activities without needing a nap I was forced to learn just how important it is to listen to my body.
This personal experience shaped my approach both personally and clinically. I firmly believe that the first step towards self-care begins with listening to what your body is trying to tell you. Aches and pains? They're your body's way of saying, "Hey, I need some help here!"
Now that I am out of the glandular fever hole I take any opportunity to get active and moving! In my free time you’ll find me at the gym and taking my dogs on new walks. I love a good roadie and am easily tempted by a vanilla latte - dairy free of course (if you know, you know).
As an Osteopath, I pride myself on being empathetic, understanding, and kind-hearted, and above all, someone who genuinely cares. I love working collaboratively with my clients, empowering them to take charge of their health both inside and outside the clinic. Whether it's optimising your work setup, tweaking your exercise routine, or improving your posture, I'm here to guide you every step of the way
I want to encourage you to listen to those aches and pains and come tell me all about them! Lets guide your body in the right direction and kickstart your journey towards optimal health and well-being together!
Thank you for welcoming me into your town - I look forward to becoming part of the community!"
